Split oversized PST file
Microsoft outlook is the commonly used personal information manager and email client with set of powerful functions but limitations do exist in it. Particularly concerning its file size which is 2GB for lower editions including outlook 2002. Outlook stores data in personal folder called as PST (personal storage table) files. It is important data store and includes all of the items stored such as emails, notes, contacts, calendar, appointment etc.
With continuous addition of data in .pst file its size keeps increasing and at a time may come when its size will go above 2GB i.e. the maximum size limit will be reached. It is called as oversized PST. This is the time when users face one or another problem in accessing outlook. Not only this, if the issue is remained unchecked oversized PST file may get corrupted.
While processing outlook PST file of 2GB or more, you may receive an error message as -
